The Nazi Campaign

Prior to World War I, Germany was the strongest European continent, achieving military, industrial and economic power, and posing severe threats to European peace. However, despite this, the Allies defeated Germany in 1918, ending WWI with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. As a result of the treaty, German colonies and territories were occupied, the nation was disarmed and reparation costs were declared, leaving Germany in social and economic distress. And while, following stabilization, Germany economically improved, the universal depression caused markets to crash, resulting in political and social tension. The Nazi campaign and communist parties promised to relieve this. And on March 23, 1933, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, was granted full power as the new German Chancellor (1)
